The productivity of fruit is predicated on the cultivation of the roots. People celebrate the fruit, but healthy fruit is always the result of intentionally cultivated roots. That which is seemingly cultivated in obscurity. Together, we will strengthen the foundation of our Convention by investing in our churches, pastors, moderators, and leaders while preserving our legacy and preparing for the future.

Statewide Equity & Empowerment

Regardless if your church has 5 members or 500, your presence and your voice is important. Ensuring every church, district, and leader is valued, heard, equipped, and connected through intentional collaboration and shared opportunities.

President’s Leadership Council

Establish a collaborative council of Auxiliary leaders where we focus on strengthening our communication, providing strategic insight, and supporting one another through prayer, presence and partnership. We also want to use this platform to create a transition plan curated specifically for each auxiliary that provides insight into Auxiliary dynamics, policies, procedures, and expectations.

Honoring Our Senior Sages

Celebrating our pastors with 30+ years of faithful service by promoting and preserving their wisdom through Legacy Conversations, honoring their sacrifice, as well as creating meaningful mentoring opportunities for our emerging leaders.

Engaging

  • Through thoughtful assessments.
  • Through one-on-one dialogue.
  • Through “coming and seeing”—being present and observing where our pastors and churches are serving.

Equipping

  • Utilizing this dialogue to identify the needs of our churches, Pastors, and districts.
  • Developing resources and opportunities that are responsive to those identified needs.

Empowering

  • Positioning our leaders and churches to maximize the opportunities available through our Convention.
  • Providing tools and support that help pastors and moderators lead with confidence and effectiveness, knowing that they don’t have to stand alone.

Edifying

  • Providing a free 30-minute scheduled mental health session for Pastors and auxiliary leaders with a licensed professional during our Board Meetings.
  • Revisiting and strengthening our Pastoral retreats and fellowship.
  • Exploring additional self-care initiatives that promote the spiritual, emotional, physical and social well-being of our pastors, moderators, other leaders and their families.

Investing in our pastors, moderators, and auxiliary leaders through purposeful relationship building, leadership development, practical resources, wellness initiatives, and ongoing support.

Reconnecting Our Churches

Partnering with our District Moderators to intentionally reconnect disengaged churches, aid in strengthening these relationships, assessing their needs, and expanding awareness of Convention opportunities and resources.
